a morphogenic exploration of the relationship between humans and the material world, agency, complexity, and information embodied within physical artefacts. Cosmic internal worlds evolve within molten glass as it reacts chaotically with metal — the interaction frozen in time with the cooling of the glass. The resulting ‘natural artefacts’ are segmented like geological samples, as if to enable closer inspection of what’s inside. A multiplicity of agencies revealed in the becoming of frozen entities. The work celebrates the beauty in chaos, inviting contemplation of agency and the liminality between the ‘natural’ vs ‘human’ world.
